District Awards

Jason Broderdorf was awarded his Woodbadge beads at Roundtable October 11th.  Congratulations and thanks for all your hard work in the Scouting Program!

Wood Badge is Scouting's premier training course. Baden-Powell designed it so that Scouters could learn, in as practical a way possible, the skills and methods of Scouting. It is first and foremost, learning by doing. The members of the course are formed into patrols and these into a troop.  The entire troop lives in the out-of-doors for a week, camping, cooking their own meals, and practicing Scout skills.

Scouting for Food Collection will be on
November 19, 2016
Service is fun.  Just ask a Scout that helped last year. They will tell you how much fun it was to run bags from door to door one day, and pick them up on Saturday full of food.  This food is then distributed out through the Salvation Army and other local food banks.  Those in need in our community depend on Scouts to make this happen.
(Watch the  VIDEO on our District Website)
If you missed Scouting for Food kick-off
you can still get your bags at Roundtable Nov 8th.

This map is divided into smaller sections within the North Star District.  When you register your Pack or Troop you will be signing up to deliver and pick up bags in a specific area.

Currently we have a lot of areas open. Blank yellow areas were not covered last year and last years green areas are still in need of being filled. Also have one vacant Smiths site available at Ann and Decatur & Smiths on Ann and Camino Al Norte.  Please Register today! This is a great service project and so much fun.

Contact Richard Conner with questions.  You will still need to register online (link above).

How do I do that?

We have done several service hours as a Pack and we have Scouting For Food in a couple weeks.  I need to log my service hours but I just don't know how to do it.

Well, we have great help for you!  Larry Simon the Roundtable Commissioner has put together a great video showing us exactly how to log in service hours.  Wether it be for Cub Scouting or Boy Scouting this video will help you!

It is also on our District Site at
