Director's Corner

As we begin the new year of 2019, we would like to thank you for making 2018 an exciting year filled with new books, programs, attraction passes and tales of book club meetings! This was a milestone year that included welcoming our 10,000th member , earning PA Forward Gold Star Status and working to secure the future of the Library. Our staff asked "What do teens want?" as we took a closer look at the trends and reading habits of today's teens. In addition to adding the "diner booths" furniture that teens chose, we added more books that highlighted diversity to the young adult area of the Library.

A BIG thank you goes out to all the dedicated volunteers who continue to serve the Library. Volunteers make it possible to provide the high level of service people expect at the North Wales Area Library.

In 2019 we look forward to serving as your gathering place and education headquarters. Many special events are being planned, including a visit by New York Times best-selling author, Adrianna Trigianni. She will be visiting two locations in Montgomery County on April 11th to talk about her just released book, Tony's Wife (details below). Story Time will now be offered at the Montgomery Township Community Center the second Wednesday morning of each month at 10 am. The kick-off date is Wednesday, January 9th. All area residents are welcome.
The Library Board, staff and volunteers wish each of you a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season and look forward to seeing you in 2019!

Happy New Year,

Jayne
