Director's Corner

Success at the North Wales Area Library is the result of hard work, a talented and dedicated staff and volunteers, and an engaged Board of Directors, as well as comprehensive planning and diligent stewardship throughout the Library's 96 year history. In 1923 the Woman's Civic Club of North Wales recognized the need for a library. Five years later the Library moved to the North Wales High School, where it remained for over 80 years. In 2008 the Library faced a tremendous challenge of having to find another location, preferably within North Wales Borough.   With incredible community support, in 2010 the Library relocated into an up-to-date, larger building. NWAL is known for achieving local, state and national recognition for our exceptional service and forward thinking opportunities.

Our community has so much of which to be proud. NWAL continues to be ranked as one of the best libraries in the country. I am honored to be the Director of this exceptional Library, which serves as an essential part of the entire North Penn community.

Please visit us this summer and share your ideas and suggestions. Summer is the perfect time to relax and enjoy a book or attend a program.

Happy Reading!
