Director's Corner

The leaves are changing to deep reds, golden yellows, rich oranges, and those last glints of green.  We love the glorious colors of fall and the cooler weather. Is there a better time for reading than a crisp fall day? So, choose a book, curl up with a mug of something hot, and get reading!  I'd like to also let you know about our new binge boxes that contain 5 DVDs. Have you ever binge watched an entire genre? We can help you. Our current four Binge cases feature Halloween for adults, Halloween for children, Bill Murray, and Romantic Comedies. Binge for two weeks for only $3.00! Regardless if you are reading or watching a DVD, don't forget to take an occasional break to look out the window at the beauty of autumn.

Happy watching and reading!

150th Anniversary Commemorative Items

Hope you all had a great time celebrating the 150th Anniversary of North Wales Borough. Our Dinner Ball was truly a gala, the fireworks on May 18th were simply awesome and our grand parade on September 14th was a spectacular finale. Although our events are now wonderful memories, you can still purchase 150th Anniversary commemorative items at Borough Hall - our commemorative book with North Wales photos, memories, and history, cookbook with delicious recipes from past and current residents, decorative ornament, water bottle, and t-shirts. Teen Agora
with Dr. Merow

Teen Agora is the library's new teen philosophy club for ages 15 to 18. We all make philosophical judgments, some using careful, logical analysis, and others relying on emotion, popular sentiment, hearsay, and highly questionable lines of thought. Our goal is to polish the skills needed to make rational decisions about contentious issues. We will continue the great conversation in the tradition of the Socratic dialogs. For more information and optional readings, contact Kate:  [email protected]  or call 215-699-5410.
