July's 125th Anniversary Goal is to create or place Stay Safe flyers in local businesses. I know some of you have been posting photos of your club members accomplishing the 125th Anniversary goals each month - Keep up the great work and keep posting your work in the community on your social media channels - this is how we get recognized by and introduced to new prospective members!
Clubs in the Community - Recent Activities Found on your Social Media Channels

I recently visited everyone's social media channels to see what our clubs are doing in our communities - here's a few recent posts from a few of our Clubs. I know that all of our clubs are working hard in their communities, but I encourage you to post all of your activities on your channels. Facebook and Instagram provide brand exposure to a potentially new audience and potential members. Post your photos and ask your members to share to their page. One post a month is a easy to do. If you need training or assistance on Facebook or Instagram, please contact Cecelia, Ashley or Ursula they are happy to help.
Atlanta Woman's Club
Atlanta Woman's Club's Health and Wellness Committee collected and delivered various items to the Ronald McDonald House at Scottish Rite to help ease the burden of the families who are staying there. A wonderful day of service!
Calhoun Woman's Club
Calhoun Woman's Club held a “Fill the Bowl” event at the Gordon Historical Society’s historic home. The funds raised from the event will benefit Voluntary Action Center (VAC) which supports Hunger and Homeless Prevention Programs. A variety of delicious soups with all the toppings were offered along with home baked cookies.
Cartersville Woman's Club
The June GFWC Georgia 125th Anniversary challenge was for members to walk 125 steps together. Some CWC members walked their steps together at the park while others walked at locations in Cartersville and New York. Shout out to member Brenda Worley who for the past year, except for a couple of weeks, has been walking 25 miles a week.

Hugs to Sharon Cannon, she has had bad back issues, please keep her in your prayers.

On Memorial Day CWC worked with the American Legion Post 42. President Sharon Cannon and 2nd VP Jeanne Idzojtic made donations to purchase Poppy Honor Plates where they put the names and military branch of their special heroes. The plates are displayed on the fence at Legion Post 42. What a great way to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Chickamauga Woman's Club
Chickamauga Woman's Club partnered with the City of Chickamauga to host a Community Clean Up Day. They also hosted a successful Historic Banner fundraising campaign.
Dunwoody Woman's Club
Dunwoody Woman’s Club ladies ride again in the Independence Day Dunwoody Parade. The parade was started by the club in 1976 and given over to the Homeowners Association about 10 years ago. Pictured in the car is President Maria Barnhart, Kathy Hanna and Marilyn Dalrymple. Two girl scouts joined club members marching the almost 3 mile route!
LaFayette Woman's Club
The Memorial Day 2021 Flags and Crosses Dedication held on Monday, May 31 at the LaFayette Area Veterans Memorial Park was a moving and memorable event. The American Legion LaFayette Post 339 and LaFayette Woman's Club worked over 2,400 hours on the new Flags and Crosses at the new location at Veterans Memorial Park at the entrance of the LaFayette Recreation Center. There are 192 fallen soldiers honored at the new Memorial Park. Here's video of the Flags and Crosses Dedication from Memorial Day.

LWC's Education CSP is also hosting a Tools for Success event - they are collecting Bookbags and school supplies in preparation for back to school.
