Busy life? Shy about making a long-term commitment right now? Have gifts of time or talents? Your prayers have been answered!

There are a lot of small jobs that need to be done but don’t take a lot of time or a long-term commitment. They just take a willingness to serve and your special gifts.

Here are some current places your gifts can be used:
  • Know how to use Indeed or other online recruiting tools? The Personnel Committee is looking for someone who can share best practices as they look to fill future job openings. Contact Martica Luckey
  • Have a green thumb? It doesn’t matter. The SoulFood Greenhouse can use your energy this fall as they kick off their sixth season of feeding the hungry. Contact Keri McCall
  • Can’t be at church every Sunday for Sunday school but have patience for children? Be a Sunday School teacher substitute and give those who are there every week for our youth a break. Contact Kathy McCarron

Angel Food Ministry
Join us on Monday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the NorthPark kitchen to cook and restock our freezers.

Please let Marilyn Daily know if you plan to come and help.
Back at It!
For 8 years (before Covid), Walter Dunlap served as a Senior Ambassador at Presbyterian Main Hospital on Walnut Hill. The Ambassadors visit patients, especially those who have been there the longest and are usually the sickest. Since time passes slowly in the hospital, the hospital provides a steady supply of magazines and light reading materials. Several NorthParkers helped furnish magazines that were picked up each Sunday and taken to the hospital.

Walter is ready to start delivering magazines to the hospital again! The magazines needed are those of general, non-technical, non-professional interest, such as sports, current events (Time, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report), The Economist, The Atlantic, Good Housekeeping, Southern Living, travel, cooking, and are not more than 3-4 months old.

If you are able to donate these types of magazines, please place them on the counter behind the welcome desk at any time.

Questions? Contact Walter Dunlap.
Kick Off Sunday is Just Around the Corner!
It's time to kickoff another year at NorthPark! Information about upcoming studies, faith formation, and mission efforts will be at your disposal starting August 28.

Everyone is welcome to join us Sunday, September 11 following the 11:00 a.m. worship service in Fellowship Hall for a family-friendly event featuring BBQ lunch, a photo booth, the Reverse Food Truck, and more!

Do I need to RSVP for BBQ lunch?
Yes, please! It will help us have a better idea of how much yummy food to order. Make your reservations here or at the welcome desk located in the Narthex by Sunday, September 4. Lunch will be catered and includes barbecue with traditional sides. Donations of $5 per person or $20 per family for lunch are welcome but not required.
