The Northampton Emergency Small Business Grant Program is still accepting applications thru Friday, May 1st at 11:59 PM.

These funds are specific to Northampton businesses who are making changes to their businesses. Acceptance and denial letters will be sent out in the next week.

Amherst Relief & Resiliency Microgrant Program

The Amherst Business Improvement District (BID) and the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce have joined together to support Amherst’s small businesses and working community by creating the Relief and Resiliency Microgrant Program.

Businesses can submit their application for this first round of funding from May 1 – May 8th. We will contact successful applicants and deliver funds by mid-May.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR SMALL BUSINESS TENANTS:  Similar to residential tenants, small businesses are also not subject to late fees or negative credit bureau reporting if they submit a form of notice to their landlord within 30 days of missed rent payment. Small businesses must submit two forms:

COVID-19 Artist Relief Grant for Artists and Cultural Producers
The Northampton Arts Council announced a COVID-19 Artist Relief Grant. All artists and cultural producers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Northampton, Florence, and Leeds are eligible to apply here . The application is due May 15, 2020. The Northampton Arts Council usually administers the ArtsEZ grant round in the spring to support local arts and cultural projects. Since all public gatherings are on hold, and in light of the severe economic impact of COVID-19, the Board has voted to allocate $10,000 to fund artist relief.

Franklin County CDC is a resource to help start or grow your business at any stage. Counsel, Capital and Connections is their motto. They offer a free monthly 1.5 hr workshop on the first Wednesday of each month.
Common Capital offers small business technical assistance for their borrowers.Their online workshops and Facebook live trainings are open to the public.
