In response to rising rates of COVID infections and hospitalizations, the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) will require proof of full vaccination from individuals patronizing indoor spaces where food or drink are served, including restaurants, bars, event spaces, and entertainment venues, as well as health and fitness facilities. Village Trustees recently discussed a Cook County 6b tax incentive application for the redevelopment of one of Northbrook’s largest available commercial properties. Panattoni Development Company is hoping to receive the 6b for new construction at 4000 Commercial Avenue, currently owned by Walgreens. Read More

The Chamber, in partnership with the Village of Northbrook, presented a revved-up local shopping campaign this holiday season, featuring as its centerpiece a Shop Northbrook Pledge contest with an eye-catching $500 prize. The contest theme was inspired by Village President Kathryn Ciesla’s suggestion that residents should pledge to support local businesses during the holiday season.
