Working hard for you in Northcote Ward

Dear neighbour,

Thank you for returning us as councillors for the Northcote Ward at this month’s elections. It’s a real honour to be given the privilege to be Northcote’s voice at Wandsworth Town Hall for the next four years.

The new Northcote team is Cllr Emmeline Owens and Cllr Aled Richards-Jones. We would like to say thank you to Peter Dawson for his 16 years of service as a Northcote councillor, and also like to thank Louise Calland for her hard work as a councillor since 2018.

These elections saw Wandsworth Labour take political control of Wandsworth Council for the first time in 44 years. We pledge to hold Labour to account on their promises – especially their pledge to reduce council tax next year – and we’ll always work constructively to deliver positive change for Northcote and Wandsworth as a whole.

Keep in touch with updates from Northcote Police

Our Northcote policing team produce regular communications in relation to local policing matters as well as a monthly policing newsletter. If you live or work in the Northcote ward and would like to be added onto their mailing list in order to receive these, please email your name, address and telephone number to Northcote@met.police.uk

Community Roadwatch

‘Community Roadwatch’ is coming to Northcote ward in June and July. Community Roadwatch gives local residents the opportunity to work side by side with their local police teams, and use speed detection equipment to identify speeding vehicles in their communities. Warning letters will be issued where appropriate, and the information can help to inform the future activity of local police teams.

The events will be held in:

• Bolingbroke Grove near the junction with Kelmscott Road / Bramfield Road on 28th June 2022 from 0900 to 1000hrs.



• Bolingbroke Grove near the junction with Thurleigh Road / Morella Road on 7th July 2022 from 1600 to 1700hrs.

We’ll be joining the police and neighbours at these sessions. Do join us if you can.

Wandsworth Arts Fringe

Wandsworth Council’s flagship festival, Wandsworth Arts Fringe, returns for 17 days of music, spoken word, theatre, comedy and dance happening all over the borough from Friday 10 to Sunday 26 June. With 150 events to choose from, expect live performances in surprise locations and a celebration of dance woven through the whole programme.
