Northeast State Budget Activity
In the Northeast states, most fiscal years ended on June 30 with the exception of New York, which ended on March 31. Three of the CONEG states operate with a biennial budget – Connecticut, Maine, and New Hampshire. Those three state legislatures all passed their budgets, but only Governor Mills and Governor Lamont have signed their state budgets into law.
CT, MA & RI Governors Meet to Discuss Regional Issues
In yet another display of bipartisanship, Governor Lamont, Governor Baker and Governor Raimondo met on July 16, 2019, at Eastern Connecticut State University to discuss issues of regional importance to the Northeast, including energy, transportation, infrastructure, procurement and data sharing.

The governors expressed the importance of their relationship and working together on many issues. Governor Lamont thanked the governors for their recent support on keeping Millstone power plant operational.

This year, the NEG/ECP Conference will have panel discussions focusing on energy grid modernization, cyber security, trade, and climate adaptation and risk mitigation. We look forward to another successful year as we welcome our new premiers and governors.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and interested organizations are invited to submit their request to sponsor the NEG/ECP 2019 conference before August 16, 2019. Please contact Lori Armstrong at lori.armstrong@ONBCanada.ca for more information.
