The Northern Gardener® Winter Bonus Issue is Almost Here

Members—it’s getting colder, but we’re coming in hot. To tide you over between print Winter and Spring magazines, look for the Winter Bonus Issue in your email on January 15. This digital-only supplement to your Northern Gardener® magazine subscription serves up three fun features:

  • Emmy® award-winning journalist and horticulturist Gail Brown Hudson shares developments in legislation around plastic horticulture pots and tips for using them less.
  • Starting seeds? White Bear Lake-based Michelle Bruhn recommends what to sow when and ways to extend the season—low tunnels, cold frames and more!
  • Nancy Packard Leasman wields a chainsaw on her 40-acre property in Todd County and reveals how anyone (at any age!) can safely make good use of this tool.

I know we all can't wait until we get to dig in the dirt again. We hope the Winter Bonus Issue will scratch that itch until then. For now, enjoy this first issue of Northern Gardener™ E-news in 2024 as we kick off planning season.
