Prof Insights: Faculty-Led Workshop Series
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 348 East Merchant St.
Kankakee, IL 60901 will host What Can 8th Century B.C. Prophets Teach the 21st Century?
Separated by nearly three millennia and significant cultural differences, the great prophets of the 8th century B.C. – Isaiah, Micah, Amos, Hosea and Jonah – can seem a world apart. Yet the Spirit remains active in their message so that we would be strengthened in the faith. We will consider the 8th-century B.C. prophets in their original context, compare that context to our own and apply the Word of the Lord that they delivered afresh to our own day.
Dates: June 8, 2026 through June 10, 2026 Cost: $160
