He Has Done Marvelous Things!
Good Shepherd Christian Academy, Chicago has created a welcoming entrance to their school with
grant money received from the NID. This school, with a bit of help and a lot of work, can be a gem in the neighborhood and in the NID, an example of a healthy ministry to an urban Hispanic population.

Advancing His Kingdom

|
The third pillar of our mission directing our work together in the vision laid out for us:
WITNESS:

their community, support of our NID partnerships and missions and
sharing in a world mission field together.

Witness: Resolutions adopted:
- 3-01 Congregations can have a greater impact for the Gospel by working closely together
- 3-02 Adoption of Belize as the Northern Illinois District's international mission focus
- 3-03A To study the Northern Illinois District's ministry with multi-ethnic communities and grow in our understanding that actions of racial reconciliation clearly affirm Biblical truth

Still Time to Register: Ethnic Ministry Gathering
|
As we gather together by the will of God to move Ethnic Ministry forward in the NID by the grace of God, we will take the opportunity on May 21, 2022 at Concordia University – Chicago to answer together two questions: 1. Who has God called us to be as His people in Ethnic Ministry in the Northern Illinois District of the LCMS, and 2. Where is God calling us to go in Ethnic Ministry in the NID for the foreseeable future?

Grants may be submitted by NID congregations, schools, preschools, circuits, associations, and Recognized Service Organizations that are listed in the current Lutheran Annual and incorporating one or more of the following will receive particular attention:
- Innovative projects that are designed to connect and engage with people in the surrounding community so that relationships can be developed and the potential for ministry occurs.
- Specialized training for groups or individuals that will equip them to better serve in the NID and the Synod, as well as to carry out the first bullet point.
- Ministry initiatives which will lead, God willing, to new ways of Word+Wellness+Witness, as ways to help people learn about Jesus.
