Ascension Services with Installation of Elected Officers
The LCMS Northern Illinois District will be having two nearly identical Ascension Services with Installation of officers elected at The 60th Convention Of The Northern Illinois District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

These Spirit-filled gatherings will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 260 N. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge, IL 60068 at 2:00 p.m., and at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 159th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477 at 5:00 p.m. A short reception will follow at each location.
Performing the Rite of Installation for the District President Rev. Dr. Allan Buss will be Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison, President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Guest Preacher is Rev. Dr. Thomas Egger, President of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A offering to support future Church Workers will be gathered as well as prayers to the Lord of the Harvest for more workers.

Save the Date: Grant Writing Workshop
The NID Life Task Force will host an in person “Grant Writing” workshop on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office, 2301 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60161. The hour-long session will focus specifically with grant proposals for the LCMS “Million Dollar Match” life project campaign. For more information, email Pastor Cory Estby at pastorestby@yahoo.com.
Vets 4 Veterans and BLUE Families
Family involvement and difficult conversations are the core of the Vets 4 Veterans and BLUE Families event on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 S. Pathway Ct., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Veterans and their families are invited to “Start the Conversation” 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Decommissioning Service for LCMS Northern Illinois District Office
A Decommissioning Service will be held June 13, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the LCMS Northern Illinois District Office at 2301 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL 60162. Refreshments to follow.

The building was originally commissioned June 17, 1979 after the District Office’s relocation from Chicago. We thank God for the generations of ministry and faithful service carried out on the campus and we pray blessings for all individuals who serve our Lord through the LCMS Northern Illinois District.
Walcamp Summer Camp!
Registration is now open. Walcamp offers a fun, safe environment for youth and persons of all ages to build relationships with God and with others, to experience nature and to grow as an individual and as part of a community.
Update: Redeeming Life Maternity Home to the Northern Illinois District
The saints at Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Dundee approved an offer from RLOM to purchase a portion of their 16-acre piece of property. There is an existing house on the property which RLOM will renovate to serve as Redeeming Life’s first maternity home outside of Florida. They hope to close on the property and begin renovations in June 2022.
Deaconess Lori Trinche, their local representative, is available to assist you. She would love to speak at your church and attend events to share information about Redeeming Life. Please contact her directly at lori@rlom.org.
