2024 Lay Leadership Summit - Video Message from President Allan R. Buss:
The Summit was a day of encouragement, truth in God's Word, and hope. We are in this together. We are stronger together. Groups and individuals gathered to be a part of something bigger, strengthening themselves, and honoring Jesus.
We got to pray, serve, support each other, and bear witness to the Risen Christ. To God be the Glory!

Parish Professionals Meeting
The next gathering will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 101 S. 6th Ave., St. Charles, IL 60174. Alex Brice will be our host for the event. We will begin with worship at 11:00 a.m., followed by updates and discussion of the first two chapters of our book read The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer.

Is Your Congregation Seeking to Request a Seminary Graduate or Vicar for Spring 2025 Placement? If Yes, READ BELOW:
If your congregation is interested in requesting a Graduate Candidate from either of the Seminaries, or a Vicar, your request will need to be sent to Michelle La Velle (michelle.lavelle@nidlcms.org or 708.223.3101) at the District Office by December 2, 2024. Once your request is received, additional information will be sent to you.

Registration is Open: East Region Pastoral Conference
Dates: October 22-23, 2024 (Tuesday-Wednesday)
Location and Accommodations: DeKoven Center, 600 21st Street, Racine, Wisconsin, 53403
Speakers: Dr. Oschwald will present on the Book of Acts. Dr. Jeffrey Oschwald is professor of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
Dr. German will present on Luther and the Psalms. Dr. Brian German is associate professor and chairman of the Department of Theology at Concordia University Wisconsin. There will be plenty of learning, worship, good food, and fellowship to be had for all. The NID Care Team (Pastor Davies) will be available throughout the conference for discussion and prayerful contemplation.

61st Convention of the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod
The 61st Convention will be held Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, 2025 at Concordia University Chicago. Delegate forms and information are now available. We are asking that delegate forms be returned by October 31, 2024.
Called Commissioned workers, those on Candidate status, and those called to RSOs: You are also required to register to attend as an advisory non-voting delegate. Have your home congregation pastor sign off on the delegate form.
