2026 Lay Leadership Summit Registration Is Open!
The 2026 Lay Leadership Summit will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Walther Christian Academy, 900 Chicago Ave., Melrose Park, IL 60160.
This summit is designed to bring together lay leaders from all parts of the District to:
- Worship our Lord
- Build one another up in our given talents
- Provide best practices for effective service
- Provide practical application across a number of disciplines
This year’s keynote presenter will be Rev. Dr. Reed Lessing.
Our Lay Leadership Summit workshops will have options ranging from best practices in congregational administration to the latest in healthy small church ministry ideas.

Registration for the 2026 Katie Gathering (for pastors’ wives and widows) is now open. Please consider joining us at Walcamp on October 2-3, 2026 for fellowship, learning, and fun. Our theme this year will be Prayer.

150th Anniversary
This Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1850 Chestnut Ave., Glenview, IL 60025 will celebrate not only the 150th anniversary of the founding of the congregation and the dedication of its first sanctuary, but also the centennial of their existing church. This is 150 years of service to Glenview and the surrounding area.
They will commemorate the construction and the dedication of their first church on Saturday June 20, 2026, at a special service at 3:00 p.m. with a dinner to follow. Visit their website immanuelglenview.org for more information

Admissions Coordinator - Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 1225 E. 2nd Street, Belvidere, IL 61008 is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Admissions & Marketing Coordinator to manage their admissions process and promote the school within the community. This position is a key part in attracting and enrolling new families who want to provide a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their students. Applicants with a strong knowledge/background in church and school are preferred. This is a 12-month, 20-hour/week position with summer hour flexibility.
