Wind Symphony and Kapelle present spring home concerts at Concordia-Chicago



The Wind Symphony of Concordia University Chicago will perform their home concert on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.

The Wind Symphony will perform works including “Joy in All Things” by Brian Balmages, “Aurora Borealis” by Rossano Galante, and “Irish Suite” by Leroy Anderson. The evening will also feature the world premiere performance of “Ode to Joy” by William R. Brusick, a piece commissioned by the Wind Symphony.

The Kapelle will perform their home concert on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. The Kapelle will present their program “In Mercy, Lord,” performing works such as Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Du hirte Israel höre” and “Sicut locutus est,” “Surely He Has Borne Our Griefs” by Richard Hillert, and “Prayer of St. Patrick” by John Rutter. 

Concordia Uiversity Chicago’s campus is located at 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest, IL, 60305. Free off-street parking is available in the University’s parking structure south of Division Street on Bonnie Brae. Handicapped-accessible parking is available in the visitors’ lot adjacent to the north side of the University parking structure. Both events will also be streamed online at CUChicago.edu/live.

A Night of Hope with the Words and Music of Tanner Olson and Blake Flattley
