Beecher Congregations Are Stronger Together Through Partnership

Charter Service for Beecher Church

After many months of discussion and work, the three congregations in Beecher, Illinois are merging into one. The new name for their ministry will be Peace Lutheran Church with the Charter Service to be held on May 21, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. The service will be held at what was Zion’s church building, 540 Oak Park Ave., Beecher, IL 60401. Rev. Dr. Allan R. Buss, President, LCMS Northern Illinois District, will preach. A light reception will be held after the service. All are invited to attend this celebration.

Ascension Day Concert

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 195 Nesler Road, Elgin, IL, 60124, will host  a special Ascension Day Concert on May 18, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., featuring Huntley Brown, renowned concert and church pianist. Also performing is the Elgin Area Lutheran Choir made up of choir members from several local Lutheran churches. Refreshments will be served in the Grand Hall of Good Shepherd after the concert, and people can meet Huntley Brown.
