Get Ready to SHINE!

The LCMS Northern Illinois District is shining a spotlight on service from April 14-23, 2023. Throughout the district, groups of 2 or more people are asked to give witness to the love of Jesus through acts of service to their neighbors and communities. Simply join with some people from your church, school, small group, ministry group, family, etc., and serve together in a project of your own choosing.

How is God calling you to serve your neighbors and SHINE His light? Registration is now open.

Theology in Film

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 37 W. Army Trail Blvd., Addison, IL 60101, is starting a monthly Theology in Film event. This is an opportunity for people to watch A list mainstream films with time for discussion questions afterwards to illustrate how the film portrays a theological or scriptural idea. Participants can expect a variety of films to be shown from varying genres and age-appropriateness.

The first showing will be on Monday January 23, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Future showings will typically be on the last or second to last Monday of the month. If there are any questions please contact Rev. Kevin Peterson at the church office, 630-543-6909 or email at
