Prayer and Praise
Last night, Executive Secretary Jose Marin spoke for the first evening of the conference-wide online prayer and praise meetings. His topic was “We Still Believe in the Power of the Gospel,” emphasizing the gift of salvation. “The definition of the gospel is a Person,” he said.
A string ensemble made up of Pacific Union College Elementary School students, under the direction of Linda Marks, provided inspirational music. Lodi English Oaks church member Lily Sakata gave a testimony, and NCC prayer coordinators Esmé and Robert Ross presented a prayer thought. The hosts for the evening were Gracepoint church member Jade Tuleu and Roseville church member Joseph Cartwright (pictured).
Many people throughout the NCC – and beyond – watched the meeting on YouTube and Facebook, with 19 other Facebook pages also broadcasting the meetings.
Tomorrow night, Carmichael church Associate Pastor Melissa Howell will present the sermon, with special music by students from Pine Hills Adventist Academy. On Friday evening, Fremont/Livermore district Pastor Sean Kim will speak, and Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy students will provide a musical blessing.
On Sabbath, President Marc Woodson will give the final presentation, with inspiring music from Rio Lindo Adventist Academy students. The Mid-term Report video will wrap up the meetings, highlighting the transformative work of our churches, schools, and ministries.
