After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Frank "Chico" Scimeca opened the first Scimeca's Market in 1935. Since then, the name Scimeca's has been a house-hold favorite in Kansas City. Now, for the first time in the family's near 100-year history, Toni Bonadonna, is heading the newest addition to the Scimeca family legacy... An online shopping experience, where you can have Scimeca's ship any of their products to you, nationwide! This new attraction allows you to send the perfect gift to a loved one far away, or keep your cravings satisfied after moving away from the Kansas City area. Toni is a 4th generation Scimeca and is proudly dedicated to keeping her family name alive. Our goal at Northland Coffee Connect is to recognize, celebrate and support entrepreneurial ventures in North Kansas City and the Northland (Clay & Platte Counties). Creating and growing small businesses is an important key to economic development. With proper nourishment, many of these businesses will grow and provide additional employment in the Northland. As often as possible, we like to have the presenting business host Northland Coffee Connect, but when that isn't possible, we are able to use space at iWerx in NKC or Chicken N Pickle.
