Join us every Wednesday morning from 7:45am-9:00am, to connect and network with other business leaders and entrepreneurs in the Northland! Our location changes weekly, with a new guest entrepreneur at each event!

Our entrepreneur story this week will be that of Jan Jensen and her growing business in the Kansas City Art Scene.

Jan is an artist herself, which is what makes her such a valuable advocate for all Kansas City artists. Before becoming one of Kansas City's greatest local dealers and brokers, Jan taught music to local musicians and was also involved in the fashion industry. Her passion for passing along knowledge and being part of the creative process is what led her to connecting people and fostering relationships between artists, galleries, and the people trying to find work that speaks to them. She has a keen eye for great work, and she uses her talent to connect the dots between creatives and potential buyers. In the past 3 years, Jan has helped develop more than 5 new gallery spaces and has helped promote countless artists in the Kansas City area. We hope that you join us on July 12th, 2023, at iWerx to hear more about her story and what inspired her to become an entrepreneur. You just might discover your inner artist!

Our goal at Northland Coffee Connect is to recognize, celebrate and support entrepreneurial ventures in North Kansas City and the Northland (Clay & Platte Counties). Creating and growing small businesses is an important key to economic development. With proper nourishment, many of these businesses will grow and provide additional employment in the Northland. As often as possible, we like to have the presenting business host Northland Coffee Connect, but when that isn't possible, we are able to use space at iWerx in NKC or Chicken N Pickle. If you would like to get involved, please reach out to Rich Groves via email, rich@nkcbusinesscouncil.com
