It's Championship Weekend!
And also a great excuse to get together as a church family. Come out to Northpark's Community Campus in Wake Forest on Sun, Jan 29, between 5:30-8:30pm to view part of each of the championship football games that night AND check out the first-annual NP Chili Cook Off!
We have TEN entries to the chili cook off and all those who attend get to sample and cast your vote! Once the judging hour ends...we eat!
Even if football or chili is not your thing, this will still be a great time to hang out with your NP family and connect with some new people.
This is a family event (all ages!) so everyone is encouraged to wear your favorite team's colors/jersey and connect with your church fam, new and old!

Join the women of NP for our first Ladies Event of the year on Saturday, February 11, from 11:00am-12:30pm at NP2 (4529 Purnell Rd, Wake Forest)! We can't think of better way to start the year than thanking God for the friends he has surrounded us with AND making new friends along the way!
There will be a taco bar and chicken fajita soup for lunch, a time of encouragement in the Word, prizes, time to connect and meet new people, and more!

BAPTISM SUNDAY

Our next baptism opportunity will be in our in our Sunday Morning Worship Gathering Sunday, February 19, at 10:00am, at River Bend Middle School.

Celebration of Life
Lottie Moore
While there are lots of wonderful things happening in and through the Northpark family right now, we also have some sad news to share. On Thursday, January 26, Ms Lottie Moore, a beloved member of the Northpark family, went to be with Jesus. We are heartbroken for a world without her, but thankful she is no longer sick or suffering.
If you knew Ms Lottie, you knew she was a mighty woman of God in our church, in her family, in her neighborhood, and in our city. She lived to serve God and others and constantly on the move to lend a helping hand. She will be missed!
Please be in prayer for her family and friends, now and in the days to come. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 4, at 12:00pm at Lea Funeral Home (Poole Rd, Raleigh).
If you plan to attend and you own a purple accessory or item of clothing and would like to wear it to the service, please do. It was her favorite color and many will be wearing it that day to honor her as we celebrate her life.

JUST ADDED! Park Pals: This group is for women of Northpark--moms, young professionals, single, married, etc--to get together at a park and hang! We want to create a space for all ages and life-walks to foster community and study Scripture. This group will be led by Bethany Corey and group members will help decide the schedule!
The Gillett Group: Led by Randy and Mary, and studying The Secret Battle of Ideas about God, praying together, and doing life together! Married and single adults welcome! (Contact group leader about current childcare/kids age range)
The Book of Daniel: Join Pastor Chris in walking through Daniel with members of your church family. Married and single adults welcome! (Contact Pastor Chris about current childcare/kids age range.)
The Barringer Group: A men's group studying Every Man's Battle, discussing being a man of character and integrity, praying together, and doing life together! (Contact group leader about current childcare/kids age range)

MOBILE MARKET OUTREACH

For the past four years, Northpark has partnered with The Oaks Community and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to host a bi-weekly Mobile Market and provide FREE food for anyone in our community that needs it. Local grocers and farms donate produce, meat, bread, desserts, dry goods, and more, and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle delivers these donations to The Oaks neighborhood (near Sanderson High School) every other week. A team of volunteers (that's us!) helps unload the donation boxes, organize the foods, and then pre-packs large boxes with various foods for those who stop by. The truck typically arrives around 12:15PM on it's scheduled weeks and the unpacking/sorting is typically done between 1:30-2:00PM.
