Road closures coming to the Northshore:
A section of LA 1085 just south of Interstate 12 in the Madisonville area will be closed for 20 minute periods February 1 - February 5 to accommodate utility line construction. Also, t here will be alternating single lane closures on LA 1077 in both directions, between LA 21 and US 190, on February 3 - February 7 and on February 10 - February 14 between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM each night.
The Parks & Parkways Commission of the City of Mandeville will be celebrating Louisiana Arbor Day with the 14th Annual "Mandeville Releaf" program by distributing free tree seedings.

This will be held on Saturday,
February 2, 2019 9:00am at the Mandeville Trailhead.

Cassidy, Warner Unveil Draft Legislation to Lower Drug Prices Through Innovative Payment Models:
U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy and Mark Warner released a draft version of the Patient Affordability, Value and Efficiency Act , a bipartisan legislation they are developing to facilitate new and innovative payment models for pharmaceuticals and other medical services so that patients have better access to treatment, the health care market is more efficient, and drug prices are more affordable.
