Dog Walker Watch is encouraging neighbors to be more alert and observe or report any suspicious activity you may see while out walking your dog during your daily routine. Attend the meeting on Friday, May 31 at 7pm in the training room of the Northville Township Police Department (41600 Six Mile Road) in order to learn more about the Dog Walker Watch Program. If you have any questions, please contact Community Services Officer Ben Sellenraad at 248.662.1168 or [email protected]
REMINDER: PEDDLING AND SOLICITING ORDINANCE
It's that time of year again. You are just sitting down to dinner and you hear the knocking start on your door. It's a solicitor - what do you do? First, permitted hours for soliciting in Northville Township are 10am-6pm, so see what time it is. Next, check to see if the solicitor is permitted with the Township by asking them to show you their permit. You can also see the list of permitted solicitors by visiting our website at twp.northville.mi.us . Please note that certain groups are exempt - including charitable non-profits, religious and political organizations. If they are not exempt, don't have a permit or are soliciting after hours, please contact the non-emergency number for the Northville Township Police Department at 248-349-9400. No Solicitor window clings are available at Township Hall or can be mailed to you by contacting the Clerk's Office at 248-348-5800.
