HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS
In order to ensure an enjoyable evening, the Northville Township Police Department encourages you to follow some basic guidelines to keep trick-or-treaters safe!

  • Have bright colors in your costume or carry a flashlight/glow stick.
  • Make sure you can see and hear through your costume.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Trick or treat with an adult or in a group.
  • Stay in communities you are familiar with.
  • Have a set time to be back home and stick to it.
  • Don't leave the area your parents agreed for you to trick-or-treat in.
  • Remember to look for cars before crossing the street.
  • Don't eat candy that looks like it has been opened already.
  • Remember to be respectful of other people and their property.

Trick-or-treaters are welcome to be out and about from 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 31!  Look out for the "Boo Crew" in blue in your neighborhood. Northville Township Officers will be patrolling in car, on foot and on bike and passing out special blue glow sticks to trick-or-treaters. For more information, please visit twp.northville.mi.us .

CAR SAFETY SEAT INSPECTION
Are your children riding safely?   Estimates show that over 70% of child safety seats are installed incorrectly. The Northville Township Fire Department has specially trained personnel that can help to make sure that you and your family are safe. Let our child passenger safety technicians assist you in making sure that your child safety seats are installed correctly.

Inspections are conducted by appointment only and are available to Northville residents. You can schedule an appointment by contacting (248) 348-5807.
