GENERAL ELECTION - NOVEMBER 6, 2018
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6 from 7am to 8pm . Please bring your photo I.D. (driver’s license) or be prepared to complete an affidavit that you are not in possession of your photo I.D.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you is Saturday, November 3. If you request and receive an absentee ballot, please vote and return it before 8pm on Election Day. The Clerks Office will also be open on Saturday, November 3 from 9am to 2pm to assist with absentee ballots.

You can look up to see if you are registered to vote, find your polling location, see a sample of your precinct ballot, the voting equipment used in your precinct, and other FAQ’s at the Michigan Voter Information Center .

HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS
Wednesday, October 31
In order to ensure an enjoyable evening, the Northville Township Police Department encourages you to follow some basic guidelines to keep trick-or-treaters safe!
  • Have bright colors in your costume or carry a flashlight/glow stick.
  • Make sure you can see and hear through your costume.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Trick or treat with an adult or in a group.
  • Stay in communities you are familiar with.
  • Have a set time to be back home and stick to it.
  • Don't leave the area your parents agreed for you to trick-or-treat in.
  • Remember to look for cars before crossing the street.
  • Don't eat candy that looks like it has been opened already.
  • Remember to be respectful of other people and their property.

Trick-or-treaters are welcome to be out and about from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 31!  Look out for the "Boo Crew" in blue in your neighborhood. Northville Township Officers will be patrolling in car, on foot and on bike and passing out special blue glow sticks to trick-or-treaters. For more information, please visit twp.northville.mi.us.
ARE YOU A DOG OWNER?
2019 Dog Licenses are now available! By state law, and to control rabies, the Northville Township ordinance requires every dog to have a license. Licenses expire on December 31st each year. You can renew your dog license by simply bringing in a proof of current rabies vaccination to Township hall. To renew by mail, please send a completed application, a copy of the rabies vaccination and a check for the license fee and return postage. You will receive your new license and dog tag in two-three weeks. Come in before December 31, 2018 and receive a $2.00 discount on your 2019 license. Looking for something fun to do with your dog? Northville Parks and Recreation is hosting a "Howl-o-ween" event just for your dogs on Tuesday, October 30! Dress up your dog and bring them out for a fun night at the Cady Street dog Park! A costume contest will be held for the best dog/owner costume for a for the grand prize of FREE doggy daycare at Dogtopia! We'll have some treats for the K-9 participants, and maybe some doggone fun games too! Please note: you must have an active dog park membership to participate and register. All ages welcome. HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE EVENT
Saturday, November 3 --- 8am to 2pm
Wayne County is hosting the last 2018 Household Hazardous Waste Event for Wayne County residents from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, November 3. This event will be held at the Wayne County Community College District Down River Campus, 21000 Northline Road in Taylor.
