"See, I am Making All Things New"
Scripture: Revelation 21:1-7
Join us On Campus or Online | Sunday, August 7 at 10:30 am
As kids we played “pretend” or “make believe.” As adults we may be in a meeting (or therapy session?) where the facilitator says, “… what if…?” Creating requires imagination, whether we try to visualize the future in advance, or just ad lib our way toward it. Some of us are not comfortable moving forward without knowing the results in advance. Unfortunately, that’s really the only way to go. We cannot know the details of tomorrow no matter how well we plan. But, we can know the “initiator and completer of our lives” (Hebrews 12). So though we may not know how the story ends, we know who is writing it with us. Perhaps that can be a source of strength, peace, and hope for the days ahead. “Fear not. I am with you.” (Isaiah 41:10) See you Sunday.
Today is DMF Day!
Congregations are stronger when they participate in Disciples Mission Fund because they are part of something much larger than themselves – DMF makes it possible for Disciples to do ministry in places far beyond their own community.

Today, August 4, we are celebrating the work we do together as church because of Disciples Mission Fund. You can give here on DMF Day, in celebration of all we are able to do together.
A Note from the Ministry Team:
With each passing year, summer seems to be going by faster and faster. One day, children and young people are out of school. The pools, malls, and every other place is booming with high energy, noise, and excitement. Before you know it, stores are stocking up on notebooks, pens, pencils and maybe even the antique Trapper Keeper (circa 90s). Here at Northway, this summer has been full of excitement, from preparing for our children’s musical, to Worship Rocks making a comeback, and our Tuesday Fun Days, - all ways for our children to build community with each other.

As we prepare to go back to school and back to church, our hope is that the excitement of the summer will serve as our momentum to launch us into fall. Back to school is a magical time for educators. There are so many firsts and fresh starts. We love the new, neat, and clean classrooms as well as those unused school supplies. In the next few weeks, we will be praying for and celebrating the new school year. On Sunday, August 14 we will be blessing our teachers and college students. The following week during Sunday School and the worship service on Sunday, August 21 we will promote our children to their new Sunday School classes. We have some brand new as well as some experienced volunteers ready to greet them and show them God’s love. As fall continues, watch for more of the special events you might have been used to in the past, as well as some new, fresh ideas.

Our hope is that as we get back into a normal rhythm with our programming and activities for the Fall Semester, you will find your place, your tribe, your community…where you belong.

Most of all, as educators going back to school, we love those smiling faces of students, with so much excitement to learn and grow. We want that excitement for our children and adults at Northway this fall.

Psalm 32:8 – I will instruct you and teach you
in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you
