The Generous Tree: Giving in God's Story
The children and youth will be hosting an Apple Cider Stand this Sunday. This is a part of their stewardship season. Together, they are discussing ways that at any age we can return a portion of what is entrusted to us by our generous God. The Apple Cider stand is a way to put living generously into action.
We would love it if you stopped by the stand before or after worship. They will accept cash, check, or you can donate online by clicking here, noting 'apple stand' in the memo. The children will share their proceeds as a gift to Northway, supporting the programs important to them.
| | | Preparing for Advent at Northway | | |
It may seem early, but we are in full-swing prep for Advent at Northway!
I am excited to share that I’ll be leading an intergenerational Sunday School throughout the Advent season. We value intergenerational relationships here at Northway, and this is an opportunity to build up those connections!
We’ll be using an art-based curriculum that goes with our worship series, “What do you fear? Insisting on Hope This Advent.” The curriculum is written with all ages in mind. The language is simple enough for children to understand, and the prompts and activities are engaging enough for adults to fully participate alongside them. Each week will include prayer, telling the bible story through original monologues, discussion, and engaging in art and activities to further explore the themes and scriptures. Not only will Sunday School tie directly into worship, you’ll go home with art you created to help you practice what you learned throughout the week.
We’ll start at 9:30 am on November 30, December 7, 14, 21, 28, and January 4 in F-101. Bring your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and join as we pursue hope!
See you in church,
Pastor Chesna Minister to Children, Youth, and Families

Blessing & Service Hours to Date = 13,117.25 Hours
| | |
This calendar year – 2025 – we are setting a congregation goal of
25,000 Hours of Blessing and Service! Will you help us reach our goal?
| | |
Everyone can participate - members, visitors, guests, and neighbors who want to contribute to Building the Beloved Community. If you're here on Sundays, simply fill out a card and place it in the offering tray as it's passed. Or, to access a digital card click here or scan the QR code.
What counts as Hours of Blessing & Service? Working at Northway's mobile food pantry, diaper distribution, or community garden events are obvious examples, but every moment of kindness to your neighbor counts.
