Luke 7:36-50 and Matthew 25:35-40 In the pulpit: Rev. Virzola Law-Allen
| | Musical Coming Soon - Don't Miss It! | | |
Join Northway children and youth on Sunday, March 8 at the luncheon for
“Once Upon a Parable” !
You’ll enjoy a group of energetic storytellers trying to capture the humor as well as contemporary nature of some of Jesus' most familiar parables. In addition to the Parable of the House on the Rock and Sand, The Good Samaritan, and The Mustard Seed, you’ll see cameo appearances by God (!), Moses, Sarah, Adam and Eve, David and Goliath, the Disciples, Zaccheus, Mary, Martha and many more.

Church family,
I want to encourage each of you to support and attend our children’s musical, "Once Upon a Parable". At Northway, we invest in the creative faith formation of our young disciples because we believe that the stories they learn—and the gifts they discover—shape the way they will one day share the Good News with the world. We are deeply grateful for the faithful leadership of Mrs. Donna Schmidt, whose guidance helps our kids grow in confidence, community, and faith.

This year’s musical, written by Tom Long with music by Allen Pote, is a joyful retelling of Jesus’ parables through humor, storytelling, and song. Their work has blessed churches for decades, and our children have embraced this piece with energy and heart. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our congregation to experience Scripture through the creativity of our youngest disciples.
One of the things I love most is watching how seriously our children take this ministry. They show up. They show up on time. And even when parents have other commitments, you’ll often see a child here with another Northway family because they value the rehearsals and the friendships they’re building together. It is yet another beautiful Good News story unfolding in our church.
So let’s show up for them. Let’s fill the room, celebrate their hard work, and cheer on the next generation as they share God’s love through music and story.
May God bless the children who will stand before us, the families who support them, and the leaders who guide them. May their songs plant seeds of faith in all who gather, and may we receive their offering with joy and gratitude.
Rev Virzola Law-Allen
Senior Minister
