Earlier this month, Paul Miller, NWFMC Program Manager, and Mary Nutial, FloridaMakes Business Advisor, attended the Escambia County Manufacturing Advisory Council Meeting at Pensacola High School. During that meeting, PHS manufacturing teacher Susie Montalvo mentioned a list of needed supplies that she had created to give to Escambia County Workforce Education Director, Dr. Michelle Taylor. At the request of Paul and Mary, Susie also shared this list with the Council. After sending the list to the NWFMC, new Council member Manfred Laner of Custom Control Solutions offered his help. Manfred personally purchased the requested tools and had them delivered to Susie. Custom Control Solutions also donated eight Swagelok Kits to the school to help the students in to read and complete electrical circuits manuals.
“I would like to take the time, on behalf of myself and all the students at the PHS Manufacturing Academy to thank Paul Miller and Manfred Laner from Custom Control Solutions for the kind donations of brand new tools and the Swagelok engineering kits,” said Susie. “Our students are very excited over the fact that they are much closer to creating a completed product because of the much needed tools. In addition, they have truly enjoyed the Swagelok kits.”
