Trustee awards honor student achievements
The NISD Board of Trustees recognized nearly 700 students from the Eaton and Byron Nelson High School feeder patterns for achieving various regional, state and national honors at the Trustee Awards of Excellence ceremonies this week!

Similar ceremonies for the Northwest High School feeder pattern are scheduled for tomorrow.

Photographs from each event can be found and downloaded from the district's Flickr account.

Congratulations, students!
Help keep NISD safe!
As we near the end of the school year, student safety doesn’t take a break!
Please continue to obey all school speed zones and remain alert to crossing guards! They are working diligently to keep our students and staff safe as we approach summer. Feel free to remind your teenage drivers to do the same!

Thank you, NISD community!
Food Allergy Awareness Week:
Live Like Char
In partnership with her family, Leo Adams Middle School held a celebration honoring the life of seventh-grader Charlotte Barton to kick off Food Allergy Awareness Week!

Sweet Charlotte passed away in October after a food allergy reaction that led to an asthma attack and anaphylactic shock. To bring more awareness to the seriousness of food allergies, the Barton family and Lion community gathered before the end of the school year to celebrate and recognize Charlotte's life.
Cosmetology students earn state licenses
Congratulations to 11 seniors from Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest High Schools who were awarded their state licenses in cosmetology prior to receiving their high school diplomas. What an amazing accomplishment!
