Academy tours continue next week, enrollment request process now open

Academy tours will continue next week, with Steele (Collegiate Academy, Cosmetology Academy) hosting tours Nov. 11 and Byron Nelson (Biomedical Sciences Academy, Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy) hosting tours Nov. 12. Both tour dates last from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The tours are aimed at eighth-graders, but any community members are welcome to attend. Additionally, the enrollment request process for current eighth-graders is now open on the CTE website.
Reminder: Thanksgiving break takes place Nov. 25-29
Northwest ISD students won't attend schools from Nov. 25 to 29, as the district will celebrate Thanksgiving for the holiday's week. Students will resume classes on their regular schedules the following Monday, Dec. 2.

Good luck to Northwest High School sophomore Kayla Martinez (seen here with coach Burke Binning) as she competes in the UIL Cross Country State Championships on Saturday! Kayla will run the 5K in the 5A girls classification, which begins at 1:10 p.m. Live results will be posted to the official UIL website.

Reindeer Romp takes place Dec. 7, online registration ongoing
Registration for the 12th annual Reindeer Romp benefiting district P.E. programs is now open, with the event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth. The event consists of two races, a 5K run and a 1-mile fun run. Registration costs $20 per student and $25 per adult, and registrants can take part in one race or both, if desired.
