Mark your calendars! Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 15.
Enrollment is an annual requirement and doesn't roll over from the previous school year, but for returning families, the process is an easy three-step completion. The process is handled through Home Access Center via a guardian’s account, which results in previous registration information being completed.
Enrolling your child as early as possible is one way you can help your campus and the district prepare for next school year. Please visit www.nisdtx.org/enroll to learn more!
| | Provide district and school input in Northwest ISD family survey | | |
Northwest ISD invites families to provide their input about our district and schools through a survey open until 5 p.m. Monday, April 21. The survey should take about 5 to 15 minutes to complete. The English version of the survey will be available at www.nisdtx.org/survey, while a Spanish version is available at this link.
This survey is your resource to provide anonymous feedback about how our district and schools are serving your child as well as your family. Tell us what you feel is working and where you think we can improve. Respondents are asked to identify strengths and areas needing improvement on topics such as campus climate, safety, instruction, communication and support services. If you have children enrolled in more than one school, you will be able to take the school portion of the survey for each child.

| | Worthington Middle School named a Texas School to Watch | | |
Worthington Middle School has earned the designation of a Texas School to Watch, joining about 70 other campuses statewide. The Tigers recently held a pep rally to celebrate the honor.
This recognition comes from the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as part of a nationwide initiative. Worthington was honored at the Making Middle School Matter Symposium in Austin early March and also will be recognized at the National Forum of Schools to Watch Conference in Washington, D.C., in June.
State leaders selected Worthington for its academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structure and processes. In addition, Worthington has strong leadership, teachers who work together to improve curriculum and instruction and a commitment to assessment and accountability to bring about continuous improvement.

| | "We Are In A Book!" now in the hands of every NISD kindergartner | | |
We are BIG Elephant and Piggie fans around here! With the help of some amazing volunteers, NEF distributed copies of "We Are In A Book!" to every Northwest ISD kindergarten student to support early literacy! This year, we also provided a Spanish version of the same book for dual language classrooms at Clara Love Elementary, Roanoke Elementary and Prairie View Elementary.
Literacy is so important, and NEF is proud to encourage reading through this initiative. Special thanks to our generous partner, Pogue Construction, for sponsoring our Kinder Club program!
| | NEF Resource Store and Library in need of books | | |

Already this year, more than 1,400 teachers have shopped the store and saved more than $300,000!
You can help by donating from the store’s online wishlist. Immediate needs include nonfiction elementary level books. You can also help by volunteering in the store! Volunteers help sticker and prep inventory, restock shelves and fulfill online requests from teachers.
