Congratulations to our 2019-20 district Teachers of the Year, Fawn Rohrer and Lisa Day! Mrs. Rohrer, a reading interventionist at Lakeview, was named the Elementary Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Day, an English teacher at Northwest, was named the Secondary Teacher of the Year. Congratulations to these excellence teachers as well as the Exemplar Educators (seen in the link below) from all of our campuses!

Welcome home, Kristy Edney, Wilson Middle School nurse! Mrs. Edney returned home to a caravan of dozens of cars with community members thanking her for providing medical assistance in New York, where she helped fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Graduations taking place May 26 at Texas Motor Speedway

As announced last week, we are excited to host graduation ceremonies for all four district high schools at Texas Motor Speedway on May 26! This venue will allow us to properly honor our seniors while providing ample space to meet health guidelines. Expect more information leading up to the ceremonies with specific guidelines about the events.

Matrice Raven named next principal of Adams Middle School
|
At their April 27 school board meeting, Northwest ISD trustees unanimously approved Matrice Raven, Ed.D., current principal of Chisholm Trail Middle School, as the next principal of Adams Middle School, effective after the conclusion of the current school year. The district expects to name her successor at Chisholm Trail in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to the Byron Nelson symphony orchestra for its selection to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic! Roughly 50 musical groups perform each year at the international conference, placing the Bobcats in distinguished company.

Congratulations to Wilson Middle School student Makenna Morgan for earning the Award of Excellence in the National PTA’s Reflections competition! She is one of just 12 students from Texas honored this year in the annual competition.

Adams student’s art wins Holocaust, genocide awareness recognition

Congratulations to Adams Middle School student Elizabeth Messina for being honored in a state commission's art contest raising awareness for the Holocaust and other genocides. She is one of just four middle school students recognized by the commission.

Online enrollment for 2020-21 school year ongoing

Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year is now open and ongoing. Families of returning students received emails with links to re-enroll their children for the coming school year. Families of returning students can also
log into Home Access Center, select the "Registration" icon, then the "Update Enrollment" tab, and click "Start" to reenroll their children.
