Calendars approved for
2022-2023, 2023-2024
Following school board approval, Northwest ISD’s instructional calendars for the next two academic years – 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 – are now set and will mirror the current district calendar.

Both calendars feature major breaks – Thanksgiving, winter and spring – that are in line with NISD’s traditional length and style. This includes multiple additional days off for students following the week immediately after winter break and the week immediately after spring break to assist with teacher preparation.

NISD students selected to TMEA All-State
Northwest ISD congratulates the 11 students recently selected to Texas Music Educators Association’s All-State ensembles, the highest honor a high school musician can achieve in Texas. The top-ranking musicians judged at the TMEA Area competitions qualify to perform in one of 18 Texas All-State ensembles sponsored by the Band, Orchestra, and Vocal Divisions.

“These students earned this honor through years of hard work, along with the support of their parents, teachers, and the community,” said Dr. Kevin Lacefield, executive director of fine arts. “NISD is proud to have all-state students representing our district."

Northwest ISD is honored to celebrate its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district’s schools and students. Serving as a link between the community and classroom, school board members are elected to establish the policies that provide the framework for public schools.

As School Board Recognition Month concludes, Northwest ISD would like to once again thank our best team in the district!
