Welcome to NISD, Superintendent Dr. Mark Foust!
Dr. Foust began leading the district on January 10.
The Northwest ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Mark Foust as the district’s next superintendent!

Foust began leading NISD following final approval by the Northwest ISD Board of Trustees during this week's board meeting.

No school on Monday, January 16
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Northwest ISD would like to remind you that Monday, January 16, is a student and staff holiday. All NISD schools and offices will be closed.

School will resume, on regular bell schedules, on Tuesday, January 17.

Enjoy your long weekend as we reflect and appreciate the change influenced by Dr. King!
Changes to school start times for 2023-2024
Following input from the communities Northwest ISD serves, the district will change secondary start and dismissal times beginning in the 2023-2024 school year to provide more time between middle school and high school and alleviate traffic.

To provide more time for traffic to exit campuses, the difference between middle school and high school start and end times will be increased from 10 minutes to 25 minutes. High school start and dismissal times will move up 10 minutes, while middle school start and dismissal times will move back 5 minutes.

Elementary schools would be unaffected.
Thank you, Northwest ISD School Board!
January is School Board Recognition Month!

Northwest ISD would like to express sincere thanks to our trustees for their commitment and service to our schools and community.
