Good luck to Byron Nelson at UIL State Volleyball Tournament

Good luck to our Byron Nelson Bobcat volleyball team as they head to Garland for the state tournament! The Bobcats will face the Clemens Buffaloes at 5 p.m. Friday, with the winning team advancing to the state final at 5 p.m. Saturday. This marks the first time in school history the team has advanced to the state tournament.
Thanksgiving break takes place next week

Northwest ISD students won't attend schools all next week, from Nov. 25 to 29, as the district will celebrate Thanksgiving for the holiday's week. Students will resume classes on their regular schedules the following Monday, Dec. 2.

Great work by our Justin Elementary School first-grade classes for their Socktober community service project! Students gathered new socks throughout October to donate to those in need, and they are now grouping the socks and using math to tally their totals.
Northwest ISD named Top Place to Work
Thanks to the work of our teachers and staff creating an outstanding environment, the Dallas Morning News has recognized Northwest ISD through its Top Places to Work program based on national standards! This honor is based solely on the anonymous responses of employees to a survey and places Northwest ISD in prestigious regional and national company.

23 student-athletes sign letters of intent for collegiate sports, academics

Congratulations to the 23 student-athletes who last week signed letters of intent to continue their academic and sport pursuits in college! Each comprehensive high school was represented in the event; Byron Nelson had 11 signees, Eaton had 13 signees and Northwest had one signee. Reminder: Drop off Angel Tree gifts at district administration building

Thanks to the support of our community, all of the more than 800 students in need on the Virtual Angel Tree will have gifts this holiday season! If you selected an angel to support, please remember to drop off any gifts along with the sheet about your angel to the Northwest ISD administration building, located at 2001 Texan Drive in Justin, during regular business hours (offices will be closed next week) no later than Dec. 6.
Reindeer Romp takes place Dec. 7, online registration ongoing

Registration for the 12th annual Reindeer Romp benefiting district P.E. programs is now open, with the event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth. The event consists of two races, a 5K run and a 1-mile fun run. Registration costs $20 per student and $25 per adult, and registrants can take part in one race or both, if desired.
