Help us name the next Northwest ISD elementary school! Our district is now accepting name submissions for our 20th elementary school, which will be located in the Berkshire master-planned community near U.S. Highway 287. Names must meet the district's policy, which means the school cannot be named after a living person.

Congratulations to Byron Nelson's Brianne Groth, the National Volleyball Coach of the Year! Coach Groth joins her mother, Jan Barker, as the first mother-daughter duo to win the National High School Coaches Association's top award in their sport.

2020 U.S. census coming April 1

Once every decade, the United States government conducts a census to create an accurate count of people living in the United States. This count is vital in determining how federal resources are allocated to areas across the country, from representation in Congress to how much federal funding is directed to communities. This year's census will take place April 1, and it is the first time it will be available online or phone responses as well as the existing paper option.
Education foundation scholarship application closes March 4

High school seniors who graduate this school year can now complete Northwest ISD Education Foundation's online scholarship application, which will allow them to compete for several scholarship opportunities. The application is open through Wednesday, March 4, for students who have attended a Northwest ISD high school since at least the first day of the 2019-20 school year. This year, NEF will award more than $50,000 in scholarships! Additionally, graduating seniors should also check out PTA-sponsored scholarships.
