Help Northwest ISD be the best it can be with your input
Northwest ISD strives to serve students in the best ways possible, and to do that we need your input. The district is currently researching the District of Innovation distinction, which would provide it with
more flexibility from certain state requirements.
Specially, we want to know the following:
What operational changes would have the biggest positive impact on student learning experiences in NISD? To provide your feedback on what you think would have the most positive impact on students within the district,
click here. This feedback is entirely anonymous and will allow community members to vote on others' feedback through the Thoughtexchange system. Feedback can be provided on any device with a web browser.
This link will also be texted to district families in the coming days.

September is Attendance Awareness Month
|
September is national Attendance Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of coming to school to gain an education.
Chronic absences can serve as an indicator of lower test scores, especially if the issue persists for more than a year. When children don't show up regularly, they can miss fundamental reading and math skills.
To give children the best chance of learning and reaching their potential, avoid missing school days or create a plan for school attendance. No one expects a sick child to come to school, just that children are in school and learning when they are able and scheduled to do so. |
