Reminder: No school on Sept. 2, a district holiday
Please remember that Monday, Sept. 2, is a district holiday for both students and staff. There is no school on this day and district facilities will be closed. Schools will resume classes on their regular schedules Tuesday, Sept. 3.
New stadium bag policy now in effect
Northwest ISD Stadium has a new bag policy to increase the safety of event attendees. The new policy prohibits most bags with the exception of clear bags of certain sizes and small clutches. Diaper bags are also allowed when accompanied by a small child. To see specific requirements, view the policy by clicking the button below.
Limited space in tuition-based pre-kindergarten still available
A limited amount of space remains available in some Northwest ISD tuition-based pre-kindergarten classrooms, and registration can still be processed. Information about the tuition-based program can be found on this link, and a video about pre-K can be seen by clicking above.

Communications staff members regularly take photos at district events and some school or extracurricular events, and those photos are in turn uploaded to the district's Flickr photo albums. All photos are available for families to download for free.

Middle school musical, 'Frozen Jr.,' taking place Sept. 12-14

Northwest ISD's annual middle school musical will host performances Sept. 12 to 14, adapting the popular Disney movie "Frozen." Students from middle schools across the district star in the production, which is open to attendees of all ages. Additionally, Eaton and Northwest's theatre departments will soon host productions of their own.
SafeStop bus app transitioning from text messages to push notifications
Beginning today, Aug. 29, the SafeStop bus-tracking app has changed the way it alerts families of approaching buses. Instead of sending text messages, the app will now send a push notification to a user's mobile device; the user does not have to be in the app to receive the notification.
Consider supporting NEF on North Texas Giving Day
The 11th annual North Texas Giving Day takes place Thursday, Sept. 19. North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour giving extravaganza where the community members are invited to support local organizations. If you choose to donate to the Northwest ISD Education Foundation, your dollars support district educators and students through scholarships for graduating seniors and teaching grants for educators. This year AccessBank Texas has agreed to match donations dollar for dollar up to $3,500. Learn more at www.northtexasgivingday.org/NEF. 
Campuses now using entry call stations for visitors
As part of our safety and security improvements, all schools now have entry call stations that provide video communication to the front office. Watch this video to see how visitors will now securely enter schools, further enhancing student safety.
