Monday, November 1, is a student and staff holiday. Tuesday, November 2, is a student holiday and a staff professional development day. All NISD schools will be closed both days. School will resume on Wednesday, November 3. Enjoy your extended weekend!

Eaton Girls Cross Country advances to state
|
|
For the first time in school history, the V.R. Eaton Eagles Girls Cross Country team has qualified for the UIL 6A Cross Country State Championships.
The team competed in the 6A Region I Cross Country Championships this week in Lubbock, advancing with qualifying places to the state meet in Round Rock on Saturday, November 6.

Byron's "Frankenstein" comes alive Thursday

The Byron Nelson Fine Arts department proudly presents “Frankenstein," based on the novel by Mary Shelley.
Performances will take place tomorrow, October 28, through Sunday, October 30, at the Byron Nelson Performing Arts Center. Evening performances will occur daily at 7 p.m., with an additional matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 30.
Seating for this intimate performance will be on the stage with the actors. Seating is extremely limited, requiring all tickets to be purchased in advance.

NEF opens free resource store and library to support teachers, students
|
|
The Northwest Education Foundation fully opened its new resource store and library today, where teachers can “shop” for school and classroom supplies, snack packs, clothing items and books.
All items are free to district educators, who will use them in their classrooms to support students.

NEF Cornhole Tournament supports Angel Tree Program
|
|
Join the Northwest ISD Education Foundation for a fun day of cornhole competition to raise funds for teachers and students in Northwest ISD!
The tournament is Sunday, November 14, at the Mule Bar in Justin. The tournament will support the NISD Angel Tree Program, which offers support to families in the district who are in-need of assistance for their children during the holiday season. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the program and "Santa's Workshop" will be onsite for community members to drop off gift donations or return gifts for an adopted angel.

Reindeer Romp registration now open
|
|
Registration for Northwest ISD's 14th annual Reindeer Romp 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run is now open! The race will take place in person on Saturday, December 11, at the Alliance Airport. The one mile fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the 5k run starting at 9 a.m.
