Calendar adjustments to Spring Break
Northwest ISD’s 2021-2022 calendar will be updated in the following ways to meet state-required instructional time due to inclement weather closures:

  • Half-Days to Full Days: The two remaining half-days, March 11 (the Friday before spring break) and May 26 (the last day of school), will turn into full days.
  • Classes on March 22: Schools will operate as a regular school day on March 22. Students will attend classes, and staff will work as normal. This day was originally scheduled as a professional development day.
Seniors: Apply for district scholarships
Attention Class of 2022!

Several Northwest ISD school associations and organizations — including the Northwest ISD Education Foundation, Inc. — are now accepting applications for scholarships to graduating seniors.

Please check the appropriate submission deadlines, as many are quickly approaching.
How do I submit an absence for my student?
Northwest ISD's updated campus websites provide an easy and efficient way to report student absences. Each website has a Report an Absence button — located on the right-hand navigation bar — which provides families and caregivers with detailed reporting directions and attendance clerk information.

If you have an absence to report, please visit the district website, search for your student's school under the Our Schools tab and navigate to the Report an Absence button.
Apply for upcoming Teacher Career Fair
Northwest ISD will host the third annual Teacher Career Fair on Thursday, March 10, where quality teacher applicants can attend an event to meet district administrators and participate in interviews. To be considered for the event, you must apply to the Teacher Career Fair by completing an Employment Application by February 28.

NISD looks forward to meeting new teachers interested in a career at Northwest ISD!
