District transitions to nine-week grading periods
All Northwest ISD schools will operate on a nine-week grading system next year, moving from the previous six-week grading system. While the change won't have any significant changes for day-to-day activities, some students and families may have questions about what it means beyond the longer time frame for grades. To read an FAQ about the change, click the button below.
Watch recording of recent Facebook Live about new school year
Dr. Ryder Warren, superintendent of schools, recently held a Facebook Live video chat to provide information about the coming school year and answer audience questions. The chat covered important dates, events and changes. To watch a replay, click the image above or click here.
Registration for 2019-20 school year ongoing
Registration for the 2019-20 school year is now open! For families of returning students, emails were sent out in mid-April with a link and "snap code" to register their children for the upcoming school year. Clicking on this link will have most information already filled out for each child (and separate emails will be sent for families with multiple students). Families who will be new to the district can enroll online for the upcoming year as well.

Parents and guardians enrolling their children for 2019-20 can take part in the NEF Dollar Drive by making a tax-deductible donation during the registration process. NEF raises funds for student scholarships and teaching grants, with the funding going directly back to these Northwest ISD initiatives. For example, this year NEF provided $60,300 in scholarships to graduating seniors. To see a list of the Class of 2019 scholarship recipients, click here.
