Northwest News on hiatus until August, contact list to be updated in summer
This email will serve as the final Northwest News until August, at which point the email contact list will be updated to no longer include parents and guardians who no longer have children in the district. Northwest ISD may send standalone reminder emails for important events such as registration. If you receive these and no longer have children in the district, feel free to scroll to the bottom of any email and click "unsubscribe."
Registration for 2019-20 school year ongoing
Registration for the 2019-20 school year is now open! For families of returning students, emails were sent out in mid-April with a link and "snap code" to register their children for the upcoming school year. Clicking on this link will have most information already filled out for each child (and separate emails will be sent for families with multiple students). Families who will be new to the district can enroll online for the upcoming year as well. Additionally, the district will host an enrollment assistance event at Northwest High School from noon to 7:30 p.m. July 18, when anyone can receive registration assistance.
NEF dollar drive taking place to raise funds for scholarships, grants

Parents and guardians enrolling their children for 2019-20 can take part in the NEF Dollar Drive by making a tax-deductible donation during the registration process. NEF raises funds for student scholarships and teaching grants, with the funding going directly back to these Northwest ISD initiatives. For example, this year NEF provided $60,300 in scholarships to graduating seniors. To see a list of the Class of 2019 scholarship recipients, click here.
Free meals for all children available during summer at Seven Hills

As part of a federal food program, Seven Hills Elementary School will provide free breakfast and lunch meals to all children ages 18 and younger. The program, organized at Seven Hills by district food service provider Aramark, will last from now until June 27 and from July 22 to 25. The program provides breakfast from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday for both meals.
Summer camp registrations open
