NISD campuses commemorate Patriot Day | |
Schools across Northwest ISD held Patriot Day programs on Monday, honoring and remembering heroes and victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
In addition to the programs, students at Wilson Middle School learned about the Survivor Tree, a pear tree that endured the September 11, 2001, terror attacks at the World Trade Center. Each student and staff member created a message on their own individual leaf, then all of the leaves were brought together to form one large tree of hope and resilience in the heart of campus.
