Middle school musical, 'Frozen Jr.,' taking place Sept. 12-14

Northwest ISD's annual middle school musical will host performances Sept. 12 to 14, adapting the popular Disney movie "Frozen." Students from middle schools across the district star in the production, which is open to attendees of all ages. Additionally, Eaton and Northwest's theatre departments will soon host productions of their own.
High school homecomings taking place in October
Homecoming games are about a month way! Byron Nelson will host the district's first 2019-20 homecoming game on Oct. 4, followed by Eaton on Oct. 11 and Northwest on Oct. 18. Homecoming kings and queens will be crowned either before the game or during halftime, depending on the school. Additionally, each school will host events and dances the week of homecoming. More information on specific events will be available on the district homepage soon.

Limited space in tuition-based pre-kindergarten still available
A limited amount of space remains available in some Northwest ISD tuition-based pre-kindergarten classrooms, and registration can still be processed. Information about the tuition-based program can be found on this link, and a video about pre-K can be seen by clicking above.
Scheduled giving for North Texas Giving Day open, consider supporting NEF
The 11th annual North Texas Giving Day takes place Thursday, Sept. 19. North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour giving extravaganza where the community members are invited to support local organizations. If you choose to donate to the Northwest ISD Education Foundation, your dollars support district educators and students through scholarships for graduating seniors and teaching grants for educators. This year AccessBank Texas has agreed to match donations dollar for dollar up to $3,500. Learn more at www.northtexasgivingday.org/NEF. 
Plate it Forward for NEF
On Tuesday, Sept. 17, Houlihan’s in Alliance Town Center will donate 15 percent of all food proceeds to the Northwest ISD Education Foundation when you mention NEF or bring in a flyer. The fundraiser is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and raises funds to support NISD educators and students through teaching grants and student scholarships.
