Northwood School App

Northwood School has an app you can use on your mobile device. This app can connect you with information about goings on at the school as well as useful links and documents for families. You can set up the app to notify you about school events weekly or daily. Also, we broadcast daily messages about school closings and other events that could be useful for families.

To get the app, go to either the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for “Northwood School NH.” You should see the mascot pop up. Install the app, then go to the settings section and click on “my alerts”. You can select the notifications you like from there. Some links and documents are currently being updated.

Have a great weekend!

News from the Library

Reading is Rewarding! Two seventh grade students recently started a fun reading initiative; they hide small cards inside certain books, and when students turn the cards into Ms. Mawn, they get a small prize!

There is no way to know which books the cards could be hidden in. I guess students will just have to read as many books as possible to find them all!

One of the sixth grade Info Tech classes recently started the Red Ball Challenge. Using Google Slides, they create a stop-motion animation of a red ball moving across the screen. The challenge comes later, when they have to figure out how to make the red ball move from one laptop screen to the next one when everyone lines up their laptops! They are off to a good start!
