Northwood School artwork on display at the Deerfield Fair!

Thank you to Mr. Gorman and Mrs. Fitts for setting up this amazing display. Congratulations to all of the talented artists who have work on display!

News from the Library

Happy Banned Books Week! During the month of September, 8th graders learn about Intellectual Freedom and Censorship. Each student chooses a book or author with a history of being banned and researches it. Then, they turn the information into a book trailer video. If you'd like to learn more about Banned Books Week, check out the American Library Association site: https://www.ala.org/bbooks.

Our students LOVE pixel art projects! This week, students in 3rd, 4th and 7th grade worked on different pixel art projects. The 3rd and 4th graders exercised their click/drag, and keyboard shortcut skills to put together pixel art puzzles, and our 7th graders began mapping out their own pixel art designs on graph paper, which will be turned into colorful spreadsheet art using conditional formatting formulas.

A HUGE thank you to all the parent volunteers who came in to help with the book fair. We had different volunteers for Set Up, Register Duty during Open House, and Pack Up. There will be another Book Fair in the spring, so there will be many more opportunities to volunteer!
