The Season of Giving Thanks

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of our Northwood families. This season offers us a special opportunity to pause and recognize the many ways our students, staff, and families contribute to a caring and connected school community.

We are grateful for the partnership we share with you - your support, encouragement, and involvement make a meaningful difference each day. Whether it’s helping with homework, attending school events, or simply talking with your child about their day, your presence helps our learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

As we move into the end of the trimester, this is also a good time to check in with your child about grades, assignments, and classroom expectations. A few minutes spent reviewing Alma, GoogleClassroom, organizing materials, or planning upcoming work can make a big difference in helping students stay on track.

We hope the upcoming long weekend brings you time to rest, enjoy traditions old and new, and connect with the people who matter most.

News from Kindergarten

Mrs. Magnusson’s kindergartners celebrated successfully completing this month’s Manners Matter unit. We each brought in a special snack and dressed up in our fanciest clothes. The gentleman escorted the ladies to the table and pushed in their chairs. The kids all agree that “good manners are important because it’s polite.”

Holiday Giving Tree

The PTO will be sponsoring a Giving Tree for the holidays this year. If you would like to participate please email your child’s counselor with the child’s (children’s) age, a few items that they would like, some things they may need (coat, gloves, boots, etc.) and your contact information. Please feel free to include younger/older students who may not attend Northwood School. We will contact you the week before vacation and let you know when you can pick up the items. Please have all requests emailed to Lynda or Fay by Friday, November 21st. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you,
